Cabal in 2020 (Part 1/3)

This year, 2020, we will celebrate the 15th birthday of Cabal. As an action-packed 3D MMORPG, Cabal was initially launched in Korea in 2005. Quickly, Cabal got the attention of the gamer community all over the world. We would be able to say that Cabal had stepped its footprint all over the world, from Asia to Europe and even America.

Over the last 15 years, Cabal never stops growing both widely and deeply. Yearly, we have like 4 content updates, 2 big updates for Summer and Winter, and 2 small update for Spring and Fall.

Are you wonder about what would we get for 2020? Join me and let’s see what are waiting for you? The blog post will come with both official announcement and my own analysis and prediction.

The series will be splitted into 3 parts and will be posted consecutively during these incoming days.

New Sequels for DX Dungeons

  • Status: Confirmed
  • Expected Release: Spring 2020 (for Catacombs Frost 2)

As developer announced from earlier of 2019, we will have 4 Sequels for the original DX Dungeons (Lava Hellfire, Panic Cave, Crazy Steamer, Catacombs Frost). Until the end of 2019, they already introduced 2 DX2 dungeons which are Flame Nest (aka Lava Hellfire 2) and Ancient Tomb (aka Panic Cave 2).

We received lots of complains regarding copy-and-paste dungeons like DX then Elite DX then Awakened DX. But ESTGames just proved that, they not only do not copy-and-paste, but also improve the audio and graphic quality massively.

It’s almost 100% confirmed that during 2020, we will have the Crazy Steamer 2 and Catacombs Frost 2. Crazy Steam 2 would probably come with the robotics theme (or even something looks like another part of Ruina Station?!). And, Catacombs Frost 2 would be icy-themed.

Catacombs Frost 2 and Crazy Steamer 2 are coming in 2020…

Catacombs Frost 2 has been announced shortly as the incoming DX2, it will be released in Cabal KR during the Spring 2020 update. This dungeon will come with Demonite Top-Epic and also a new Essence Rune!

Until now, there is no other information for sequel for other DX dungeon, but we never know. What would stop developer to make Hazardous Valley 2 or even Acheron Arena 2…

Demonite-related Improvements

  • Status: Confirmed
  • Expected Release: Spring 2020 (for Epic Booster Ultimate)

Demonite items were introduced from Episode 22, now it is already Episode 25 in Korea. However, lots of foundational things for Demonite are still not available, such as:

  • Epic Boosting for Demonite
  • Crafting System (Craftsman’s and Master’s Items)
  • Lack of Source for Scrolls, Cores and related materials
    • Source of Upgrade Core / Safeguard / Perfect Core to make item to +15 and higher
    • Source of Force Core / Scrolls for granting options
    • Source of Slot Extender for making slots

Even in the last updates of Episode 24 and Episode 25, they already add the Top-Epic items along with ability for unbinding Demonite items. But these are not enough…

As deloper announced, after the release of all 4 Sequels for DX Dungeons, we would have the Epic Boosting feature for Demonite items. However, right in the Spring Update of 2020, we will have Epic Booster for Ultimate Grade items (that include Demonite and of future Armour/Weapon items of Ultimate Grade)

A big question that now lots of CABALers keep asking, it’s for the crafting of Demonite items. Since the Demonite is already out for a while, and even the Top-Epic item are out. Now players are seeking for even higher powerful items, yes it must be Master and Craftsman for Demonite. Until now, there is no detailed information regarding the manufacturing for Demonite yet. We won’t know the options as well as material for crafting. But surely, sooner or later, they will add it!

Essence Rune Extension

  • Status: Confirmed
  • Expected Release: Spring 2020 (for new Essence Rune)

The concept of Essence Rune was stuck for a while with the limitation of using some basic cores (Upgrade / Force Core), however, by the introduction of Essence Rune – Level II as well as making the possiblity that runes could be learned using even Divine Stone and Chaos Core, which extends the capability of Essence Rune system massively!

But that’s not all! Soon we even might have the Essence Rune Level III! Until now, the way of learning and leveling up Essence Rune Level III haven’t been annouced yet. We all could expect that the limitation of AP (as of now capped at 700AP) would be extended for the incoming Essence Runes.

End of Part 1/3

What can I expect in the next post?

  • Part 1: New Sequels for DX Dungeons, Demonite-related Improvements, Essence Rune Extension
  • Part 2: Wing-related Improvements, Achievement Renewal, New Battle Style?!
  • Part 3: Monster Raid, Quick Slot Expansion, Other Confirmed Changes

Hi there, I'm Trung Nguyen Tri (aka Mr. Wormy), as a CABAL player, I found that our community of CABALers is lacking of good information source. Therefore, Mr. Wormy blog was found in 2011 by myself, initially on Wordpress as an unofficial weblog for CABAL Online. Through the time, I enlarged Mr. Wormy's channels on other social networks like Twitter, Youtube, Google+ and also Instagram. All information here are free for references; however if you feel that these things are useful drop me a Force Core (High) via http://paypal.me/MrWormy/5USD
