Chaos Upgrade


Chaos Upgrade was introduced back in Episode 11 along with the Eternal Chaos Arena where you can get material to craft Chaos Core. Initially, the Chaos Core can be used to upgrade Chaos Item, but later through some updates, some additional accessories can also be upgraded if it gets converted. The page cover the way of upgrading, possible outputs, stats, core and safeguard consumption and more!

  • There are two types of Chaos Upgrade:
    • Chaos Upgrade for Chaos Equipment.
      • Chaos item can be directly upgrade with Chaos Core from +0 onwards.
    • Chaos Upgrade for Accessories.
      • Eligible items must be converted to be compatible with Chaos Upgrade first then can be upgraded with with Chaos Core from +1 onwards.
  • Main item of Chaos Upgrade is the Chaos Core.
    • Chaos Core can be obtained by requesting “Chaos Core” at NPC Chloe – Port Lux.
    • Material for requesting “Chaos Core” is “Fragment of Chaos”. Fragment of Chaos can be obtained from Eternal Chaos Arena.
  • “Eternal Chaos Arena” is a special dungeon for Level 130 or higher. By defeating monsters and bosses in the dungeon, players can obtain Fragment of Chaos.
  • Some accessories do not have ability to get Chaos Upgrade by default, but by converting the item with Chaos Converter, then the item can get the Chaos Upgrade.
  • There is a chance to drop “Broken Tiara of Nix” at the last boss in dungeon Pandemonium.
  • Using “Broken Tiara of Nix” as material, player can request for “Shiny Jewel of Nix” at NPC Chloe – Port Lux.
    • Material:
      • Broken Tiara of Nix x1
      • Circuit Jewel (Lv. 6) x5
      • Circuit Jewel (Lv. 7) x2
    • Success Rate: 100%
    • Required Amity: 0
    • Registration Fee: 50,000,000 Alz
  • “Chaos Converter” can be purchased at NPC Deighton – Bloody Ice:
    • Price:
      • 5,000,000 Alz
      • AP 100
      • Shiny Jewel of Nix x1
      • Chaos Core x3
    • Property: Trade-able
  • Use of Chaos Converter:
    • Using Chaos Converter on eligible items will convert the item to be able to get Chaos Upgrade.
    • The success rate of conversion is 100%.
    • On success, the Chaos Converter will be consumed, eligible target item will get Chaos Upgrade +1.
  • Chaos Upgrade use the same UI with Normal Upgrade.
  • Main elements of Upgrade UI:
    • [1] Item for performing Chaos Upgrade
    • [2] Required Chaos Core (based on Chaos Upgrade Level), number will be displayed as total Core available / total Core needed. In this example, character has 10 Chaos Cores and 04 Chaos Core are needed.
    • [3] Chaos Safeguard registration, here player can decide select desired option. Available and required amount of Chaos Safeguard will be displayed if player selects a type of Chaos Safeguard. Available options:
      • Not use Chaos Safeguard
      • Use special Chaos Safeguard
      • Use normal Chaos Safeguard
    • [4] Upgrade Point will be granted on failure and will be reset on success. This is also expiration duration of the Upgrade Point.
    • [5] Basic Success Rate will be displayed in white and Bonus Success Rate from Upgrade Point will be displayed in light green.
    • [6] Available outputs will be market with pink.
  • This will focus on each and every Chaos Upgrade type with the stats and success rate.
  • Chaos Upgrade at +15 is a safe point, once Chaos Upgrade reaches +15:
    • Chaos Equipment won’t be destroyed.
    • There still are chance for Chaos Level get decreased.
  • Each item will come with a summary and follow by the stats table and upgrade success rate table.
  • There are 02 types of Chaos Safeguard:
    • Normal Chaos Safeguard:
      • This is the main target that I explained right below.
      • Require different numbers of Chaos Safeguard of the corresponding type with items which needs the upgrade protection.
        • For example, for protecting Carnelian Upgrade from 9 to 10, you need Chaos Safeguard – Carnelian x2.
      • Can be obtained:
        • Via request at NPC Chloe – Port Lux.
        • Events.
    • Special Chaos Safeguard:
      • This is also known as Pink Chaos Safeguard / Purple Chaos Safeguard.
  • Chaos Safeguard & Essence of Chaos Guardian:
    • Essence of Chaos Guardian can be obtained from:
      • Eternal Chaos Arena
      • Cube of Blaze (reward of Guild Dungeon)
      • Events
    • Using Essence of Chaos Guardian and Chaos Core x100, player can request for the Chaos Safeguard of the respective type.
  • Different amount of Chaos Safeguard is required for protecting.
    • Except for the Chaos Safeguard (pink colour), for this, only 01 Chaos Safeguard will be consumed for compensating the failure at any grade of any chaos upgrade items.
  • (*) Core counting in the table above represents for amount of Chaos Core required to upgrade that level.
  • (**) Number of counting here is for normal Chaos Safeguard, not the special Chaos Safeguard. For the special Chaos Safeguard, required amount is always 1, regardless of Chaos Upgrade type and level of the upgrade.
  • (***) For Chaos Upgrade for Chaos Accessory, at 0-> 1, the required item is Chaos Converter.
  • Chaos Seal Stone is a Cash item, it can be purchased from Cash Shop.
  • Chaos Seal Stone allows to seal the current Chaos Upgrade level of items which obtain the Chaos Upgrade ability by using Chaos Converter.
  • When used the empty Chaos Seal Stone on the Chaos Accessory, the original Chaos Upgrade from the item will be transferred to the seal stone.
    • For example, using an empty Chaos Seal Stone on Vampiric Earring +7 with Chaos Upgrade +12 will produce:
      • Remove the Chaos Upgrade on Vampiric Earring +7, item will be Chaos Upgrade 0/15.
      • Generate a Chaos Seal Stone – Earring (12/15).
  • A seal stone with Chaos Upgrade can be used to grant the Chaos Upgrade that was saved into an item without the Chaos Upgrade.
    • For example:
      • Using the Chaos Seal Stone – Earring (12/15) on Vampiric on Vampiric Earring +9 with Chaos Upgrade 0/15 will produce:
        • Vampiric Earring +9 with Chaos Upgrade 12/15.
    • Cannot use a Chaos Seal Stone if:
      • Target item doesn’t match the category:
        • Cannot use Chaos Seal Stone Earring on Amulet
      • Target item is not eligible for Chaos Upgrade.
      • Use of empty Chaos Seal Stone on eligible item but with Chaos Upgrade 0/15.
      • Use of Chaos Seal Stone with Chaos Upgrade on eligible item but with Chaos Upgrade (not 0/15).
  • Chaos Seal Stone with Chaos Upgrade can be upgraded. The same properties, constraints will be applied. For example upgrading a Chaos Seal Stone – Earring (7/15) is the same with upgrading a Defensive Earring +7 with Chaos Upgrade 7/15.
