
- The most basic type of upgrade in Cabal is Normal Upgrade, it started with maximum limit at +7 then +12 then +15 and now it’s capped at +20.
- Target of Normal Upgrade:
- Normal Upgrade can be performed on all kind of weapons, armor pieces and bikes. Different item grades consume different grade of core and give different amount of stats; however, the success rate is the same for all.
- Example:
- Weapon: Lapis Orb / Lycanus’ Chakram / Demonite Crystal / Mithril Greatsword…
- Armor pieces: Drei-frame Suit (DM) / Bluestin Coat (FA) / Dragonium Plate (WA)…
- Bike: Astral Bike – Type: Blue, Astral Bike – Type: RW3 Crystal, Astral Bike: Type – QW7…
- If the items reach +15, there is a special effect of glowing on your items.

- By Episode 35, there are some changes affected the Normal Upgrade which are for: Success Rate, Available Results, Required Amount of Core. This post is subjected to update with those related contents.


- UI for the Normal Upgrade is almost the same with Chaos / Divine Upgrade. However, we have some small differences. Let’s go through the full UI all over:
- [1] Item Name will be shown here based on the item player registered into the Upgrade UI.
- [2] Image of the registered item.
- [3] Core selection area, here player can select the type of core that player wants to use, depends on various factors, list of available core types for selection can be different. Example factors such as:
- Item Grade will decide the Core Grade; for example: SIG-Metal needs High Grade cores.
- Current grade of item normal upgrade; for example: at +19, player cannot use Superior Core.
- [4] Safeguard selection area allows player to decide if safeguard should be able to apply for protecting the item upgrade level in case of failure or not.
- [5] Upgrade Point information shows the current amount of Upgrade Point which player can obtain from failure of upgrade, along with the expiration time. Format of display: x (hh:mm) for example 2,100 (23:09) to represent that your character has 2,100 upgrade point and that point will be expired at 23:09.
- [6] Success Rate will be displayed in 2 numbers
- White colour is the base success rate, based on the item upgrade level and selected core type.
- Green colour is the bonus success rate, based on the Upgrade Point if Upgrade Point is available.
- [7] Available results / final result:
- Before the upgrade, the icons with pink border represent for available results.
- After the upgrade, the result icon will be highlighted with colour.
- [8] Upgrade button, click and hope for luck!

- We can categorise Core Types as below:
- Upgrade Core: Basic Upgrade Core type, this core is required for doing Normal Upgrade on items.
- Upgrade Core (Set) can be obtained mainly via requesting at NPC Chloe, Upgrade Core (Set) can be stacked up to 999 per stack, helping to save spaces.
- Core Enhancer / Enhanced Core:
- Core Enhancer is the activation item to turn a normal Upgrade Core into Enhanced Core.
- Core Enhancer x1 + Upgrade Core x1 => Enhanced Core x1
- Enhanced Core is the output item of the activation.
- Enhanced Core gives:
- Better chance of getting upgrade success (+1).
- In certain levels help to reduce the required amount of cores.
- Core Superior / Superior Core:
- Core Superior is the activation item to turn a normal Upgrade Core into Superior Core.
- Core Superior x1 + Upgrade Core x1 => Superior Core x1
- Superior Core is the output item of the activation.
- Superior Core gives:
- Better chance of getting upgrade success (+1).
- Chance to get item normal upgrade level +2.
- In certain levels help to reduce the required amount of cores.
- Perfect Core: Give 100% success on upgrade regardless of level.
- Enchant Safeguard:
- Gives protection on failure of upgrade (-1 / -2 / -3).
- If the result of upgrade is +0, the Enchant Safeguard won’t be consumed.
- If the result of upgrade is +1 / +2 (Success), the Enchant Safeguard won’t be consumed.
- Force Core: This is for granting option for items, this is not a part of the Normal Upgrade.
- Slot Extender: This is for adding the slot for items, this is not a part of the Normal Upgrade.

- Core Grades: Currently we have 05 Core Grades:

- Each Core Grade matches with certain type of item grades:
- For example, for upgrading a SIG-Metal armour, you need core with Grade High, such as:

- Safeguard helps to keep the Upgrade Level staying in case of failure.
