Mercenary


We have several types of Mercenary in game, some are quite useful and get used frequently, but some are totally forgotten. This page serves as a single point references for all Mercenaries in game, from Covenant, Trust, Dazzlement, Transcendence.

  • Mercenary:
    • Can be summoned only in dungeon.
    • An icon of the mercenary will be displayed at the buff area once it’s summoned.
    • A mercenary will take 01 party slot, for example:
    • A party has 05 players and 02 mercenaries, no more players can join the party.
    • Mercenaries can overlap the “Maximum number of participants”, for example: Edge of Phantom accepts up to 02 players, but each of player can summon up to 02 mercenaries; so that the party size will be 06.
    • A mercenary will be canceled:
      • Manually by right clicking on the mercenary icon at the buff area.
      • Automatically:
        • After time limit, or
        • Summoner is dead.
    • Purposes:
      • Dealing damage
      • Providing buff (trigger / active / passive, single / party)
  • Limitations:
  • Type of Mercenaries: There are 04 types of Mercenaries: Covenant, Trust, Dazzlement and Transcendence.
Mercenary UI (before Episode 41)
  • Mercenary UI:
    • Access:
      • Keyboard Shortcut: Y
      • Cabal Menu: System > Mercenary
    • Allow to see the list of available Mercenary, categorised in different tabs.
    • For Transcendence Mercenary, player can click on:
      • “Manage” to get access to sub-UI with 3 tabs:
        • “Upgrade” tab for levelling up of Transcendence Mercenary.
        • “Rank Up” tab for ranking up the Transcendence Mercenary.
        • “Craft” tab for crafting new Transcendence Mercenary.
      • “Cancel” to cancel the registered Transcendence Mercenary, by cancelling, the Transcendence Mercenary will return as Mercenary Card in your inventory (with property of “Account Binding”).
Mercenary UI (after Episode 41)
  • Mercenary UI:
    • Access:
      • Keyboard Shortcut: Y
      • Cabal Menu: System > Mercenary
    • Allow to see the list of available Mercenary, categorised in different tabs on the left side.
    • Select a mercenary category on the left side, the available mercenaries will be shown in the middle of the UI.
    • Select a mercenary in the middle part of the UI to show the detailed information of the mercenary on the right side.For Transcendence Mercenary, player can click on:
      • Allow “Level Up” and “Rank Up”.
  • Covenant Mercenaries are linked with the Scenario Quest, Mercenary Quests are available at level 160.

  • Covenant Mercenaries are allowed to Level Up (max Level 10) and Rank Up (max Rank 3)..

  • Trust Mercenaries are available either from events or cash shop, Trust Mercenaries can be summoned from Level 100.

  • All “Event” Trust Mercenary got new appearance, and new name, now named changed into “Unstable ~” instead of “Event – ~”.
  • Trust Mercenaries are allowed to Level Up (max Level 10) and Rank Up (max Rank 4).

  • Dazzlement Mercenaries are available as drop from the Legendary Box of related dungeons, Dazzlement Mercenaries can attack and also provide party active and passive buffs.

  • Dazzlement Mercenaries are allowed to Level Up (max Level 10) and Rank Up (max Rank 3).
  • Detailed Stats are below:
  • Transcendence Mercenary is an unique feature from Episode 15 of Cabal Online, Transcendence Mercenary is growth content that allows player to upgrade level and perform ranking up.
  • There are 4 Transcendence Mercenaries based on NPC (Elena, Aizhan, Skalid, Leedy), each is linked with either Battle Mode 2 or 3 and provides either Offensive or Defensive stats.
  • For obtaining the original Transcendence Mercenary card, player needs to craft it via Mercenary UI. It requires 30 Mercenary Pieces of the same type for crafting a Mercenary Card.
  • Transcendence Mercenaries can be ranked up 4 times and each rank player can be levelled up 10 times.
    • For Ranking Up, “Training Stone” is required. “Training Stone” can be found at Grocer NPC.
    • For Levelling Up, the same Mercenary Piece is required. There are 4 types of Mercenary Piece (Elena, Aizhan, Skalid, Leedy). Mercenary Piece is droppable from Legendary Box of various dungeons.
  • Transcendence Mercenaries can be sealed for trading.

  • Transcendence Mercenaries are allowed to Level Up (max Level 10) and Rank Up (max Rank 5).
  • Detailed Stats are below:
  • Before Episode 41, only Transcendence Mercenary can be upgraded:
    • Transcendence: Max Rank 4, each with 10 Levels
Upgrade of Mercenary before Episode 41
  • Upgrading the Transcendence Mercenary can be done in the Mercenary UI. A “Transcendence Mercenary” can be ranked up, if it reaches Level 10. A “Transcendence Mercenary” can be ranked up for 4 times. Maximum limit of a “Transcendence Mercenary” is at Rank 4 Level 10.
  • However, from Episode 41 onward, other mercenaries can also be upgraded.
    • Covenant: Max Rank 3, each with 10 Levels
    • Trust: Max Rank 4, each with 10 Levels
    • Dazzlement: Max Rank 3, each with 10 Levels
    • Transcendence: Max Rank 5, each with 10 Levels
