Winter 2025 marks 20 years for the journey of Cabal, the franchise keeps broadening and soaring into the bright future. Episode 43 Part 2 – aka Winter 2025 update – comes with:

Change map design, change some monster.
Change bosses at Boss Battle 4 and Boss Battle 5.
Change the daily entry limit from 15 to 10
Change of Drop
- After defeating boss at Boss Stage (excluding the last boss Eternal Vutos) there is chance for dropping Fragment of Chaos.
- All existing Essence of Chaos Guardian could be dropped from last boss Eternal Vutos for a certain chance.
- There is also a chance to drop Essence of Chaos Guardian (Ring) from the Eternal Vutos.

Add “Selective Attack” mode:
- A special mode that allow player to break the sequential dungeon flow, and let player pick a specific boss to start with.
- Mechanism:
  - Click on “Selective Attack” at the bottom of the UI
  - Select the boss that you want to skip to using the arrows
  - Start the selective raid by clicking on “Enter” button
- To exit the “Selective Attack” mode, you can either:
  - Click on the “Selective Attack” button again while being in the “Selective Attack” mode
  - Close / Reopen the Solo Raid UI
  - Change the Difficulty of the Solo Raid
- Limits:
  - You can only skip to the boss that you have defeated and received the reward before.
  - Cannot skip directly to Demonking Patren
  - Ranking will not be updated based on the result of Selective Attack mode

Solo Raid Clear Achievements & Titles:

Added Essence of Chaos Guardian (Ring) into Cube of Blaze (Guild Dungeon reward)
- All grades of Cube of Blaze could generate Essence of Chaos Guardian (Ring) as reward
Add new dungeons warps and change of NPC location
- NPC Terner for Guild Dungeon is moved to near the Legend Arena entrance.
- New dungeon entrance warp is added [Bloody Ice (X77, Y33)], next to NPC Terner, target dungeons:
  - Faded Dungeons
  - Weakened Dungeons
  - This works instead of the old “4th Gate” in Warp Centre.

Increase the drop rate of some unique accessories / material for unique accessories from some dungeons:
- Target Items:
  - Killian’s Limbic Tissue
  - Drosnin’s Earring
  - Drosnin’s Earring (Character-Binding)
  - Prideus’ Bracelet
  - Prideus’ Bracelet (Character-Binding)
  - Piece of Siena’s Bracelet

Increase limit of players for participating Guild Dungeon:
- Old: 25
- New: 30

Overview:
- Add a new Rank for Honor Medal: Elite Rank
- When the Honor Medal reached Legend Rank 10, it will be promoted to Elite Rank 1.
- After promoted to Elite rank:
  - A new tab will be displayed next to “General”
  - Character’s AP Limit is increased:
    - Old: 700
    - New: 10,000

Honor Medal – Elite Rank
- By obtaining the Honor Medal Point the Honor Medal – Elite Rank will progress
- Elite Rank has Grade 1 – 40
- Character can use Potion of Honor Medal for obtaining up to 10% of each Grade
- Amount of Honor Medal Point required per level

Elite Point
- For each grade in Elite Rank increased, 01 (one) Elite Point will be granted
- Elite Point is used for opening slots in Honor Medal – Elite Rank

Honor Medal – Elite Rank Category:
- There are 04 categories:
  - Elaborate Strategy
  - Resolute Advance
  - Iron Blood
  - Iron Wall Vanguard
- When all slots of the previous category is opened, the next category will be activated
Slot Open:
- Each category has 10 slots
- Cost of opening:
  - Elite Point: 1
  - Chaos Core: 100
  - Divine Stone: 100
Assign Slot Stats:
- After a slot is opened, there is not stats assigned
- Cost to grant stats for a slots: 200 AP & 100 WExp
Available Slots & Chance:

Upgrade Slots:
- Once the stats is assigned, it can be upgraded up to Level 10, stats value of the slot increases accordingly.
- Slot Upgrade UI is showing when clicking on a slot.

Use of sealing items is the same like with other Rank:
- Honor Medal Chest: Chest used for saving the Honor Medal Option. Possible to save option or apply saved option.
  - After used, all slots will be cleared (open state is maintained) and all Elite Point will be refunded.
- Honor Medal Seal Chest: Seals Honor Medal State (grade and point) for trading.

Summary:
- Certain Rings can be converted to have Chaos Upgrade.
- From +0 to +1, using Chaos Converter will grant the Chaos Upgrade at +1 with 100% success.
- From +1 to +15, using Chaos Core to upgrade as usual.
  - Different amount of Chaos Core and success rate depends on upgrade grade.

- Stats are different, depends on Ring type.
- Concepts:
  - General Ring: Defensive Stats
  - Unique Ring: Offensive Stats & PvP Offensive Stats
  - Event Ring: PvE Defensive & Offensive Stats

Safeguard:
- New type of material is added: Essence of Chaos Guardian (Ring)
  - Source:
    - Last Boss of Eternal Chaos Arena
    - Cube of Blaze (Easy ~ Awakening) [Guild Dungeon Reward]
  - Able to register in Auction House
- New recipe to request “Chaos Safeguard (Ring)” at NPC Chloe.
  - Required Amity: 5,500
  - Registration Fee: 50,000,000 Alz
  - Material:
    - Chaos Core x100
    - Essence of Chaos Guardian (Ring) x1
  - Success Rate: 100%
  - Request Time: 2s
Sealing
- Can seal the Chaos Upgrade of Ring and allow trading
- Applying Restriction:
  - Only allowed to apply on the correct Ring Category.
    - E.g.:
      - A Chaos Upgrade Seal Stone of Critical Ring +5 cannot be applied on Dr. Mazel’s Ring, because one is General Ring and another is Unique Ring.
      - A Chaos Upgrade Seal Stone of Critical Ring +5 cannot be applied on Ring of Champion +10, because one is General Ring and another is not supported Chaos Upgrade.
Ring with Chaos Upgrade cannot be registered into Collection or used as material for requests.
- E.g. request to convert from Awakened Tyrant’s Ring to Dr. Mazel’s Ring; for that case the Awakened Tyrant’s Ring must NOT have Chaos Upgrade.

Allow setting up the Preset for character for the look when Battle Mode 3 is activated.
- Access: Using the special switch button on the top-right of the Costume UI.
- Available slots for configure on Battle Mode 3 Presets:
  - Clothing Costume
  - Head Costume
  - Force Wing Costume

A special checkbox “Use Preset” is available in the UI:
- If the checkbox is checked:
  - Apply the costumes equipped in the slots of BM3
  - When no costumes are equipped, default BM3 appearance will be shown
- If the checkbox is NOT checked:
  - Apply the character normal costume presets, BM3 weapon is showing as normal.

Allow the BM3 costumes to be linked with Combined Presets.
Changes of existing game options:
- Option > Display > General
  - Old: Disable BM3 Helmet / Armor Display
  - New: Use BM3 Preset for Costume

Other changes for Costume UI:
- Move the “Register” button to bottom-left of the UI.
- Add “Search” button to top-right of the left side of the UI.
  - Still search is possible with typing and hitting Enter.
- Add icon to indicate that the costume is equipped or not.
  - Equipped in Normal mode
  - Equipped in BM3
- Add new convenient buttons:
  - Hide / Show UI
  - Hide / Show Costumes
    - When toggle the “Hidden” mode, all cosmetic items will be hidden, showing the original actual item-based appearance.
    - Non items will be unequipped when triggering “Hidden” mode.
  - Save Preset:
    - Normal Mode: 5 Presets
    - BM3: 3 Presets
  - Revert: To revert all change without saving
  - Remove All: To remove all equipped costume items.
- Change the icon of Shopping Cart icons for open/close state

Change of Inventory Sorting Rule:

  - Existing: Item Size

Chat-related improvements
- General Changes:
  - Change Chat to tab design.
  - Each tab can be filtered with what content should be shown.
  - Default: Normal / Party / Guild
  - All available conversation types:
    - Normal
    - Party
    - Guild
    - Trade
    - Channel
    - Whisper
    - Shout
  - E.g., you can config that:
    - Tab #1 name is “General”
      - Showing: Normal / Party / Guild / Should
    - Tab #2 name “Private”
      - Showing: Party / Whisper / Channel
    - Tab #3, #4, #4: Not used
- Change of Options UI for Chat according to new changes:
  - Allow to change in Tab style
  - Allow to see / not see “Buddy” and “Guild” login message separately (it was combined before)
  - Merged option that show / hide the gaining of EXP / OXP / MXP into a single option
  - Chat options are saved as account-based
- Change buttons related to Chat UI
  - Add feature to select tabs
  - Add “Scroll to Top” button
  - Change locations of “Minimize” and “Setting” button
Improve the “Burning” indicator for various content in-game
- “Burning” is representing the special boost of certain content in-game such as EXP, AXP…
- Burning is normally for some events and Seasonal Characters
Improvements for in-game notifications
- Concept:
  - Old: When there is any game-related notification:
    - There will be a small pop-up message shown up at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
  - New: When there is any game-related notification:
    - The notification will be added into the Notification list in the “Notification” UI
      - Notification UI is a new UI, accessible by clicking on the notification icon, bottom-right of the screen, next to Force Gem balance display.
    - A small number (white text / red background) will be displayed to indicate number of unread notifications.
    - Type of notifications to be displayed in the new UI:
      - Completion of Research / Pet Exploration
      - Completion of Platinum / Diamond Merit Mastery Slot Open
      - Expiration of durational items
      - Expiration of Blessing Beads
      - Expiration of Buff (Event Pass Buff / Platinum Buff / Season Mission Buff…)
      - Others
Add “popup message”:
- Display a temporary notification on the game screen in various situations
- Type of notifications to be displayed in the new “popup message”
  - Altar Maintain Condition changes
  - DP Expiration
  - Availability of Guild Golden Treasure Chest
  - Wing Upgrade available
  - Others

Blocking is now account-wise, not character-wise
- E.g.:
  - A player initiate the “Block” from a character in account A, the block is for a character in account B.
- Result:
  - All characters in accounts A cannot see chat of all characters in account B.
Add notice message to explain the consequences of blocking is account-wise.
If the target is moving the character to another account or renaming the character, there will be an “X” mark next to the character name, and that “block entry” is not applied.
Both blocker and blockee cannot send friend request or party request to each other.
If a block is initiated and the target is in the friend list, it will also be automatically removed from the friend list (including all other characters from that account).

Add 8 new types of Karma Runes at NPC Flasha.

Fixed the bug that caused Skill Reflect Shield of Force Shielder will now work properly with consideration of some “survival” skills:
- Wing Protect (all classes)
- Adrenaline of Rage – Gladiator
- Adaptive Technique – Force Gunner
- Quick Move – Force Archer
- Rhino Toughness – Warrior
- Force Shell – Wizard
Change the range of “Core Break” skill from 6 to 13, update the info in skill tooltip
