Spring 2024 Update for Cabal Korea is marking the 19th year of Cabal, lots of content get reworked to ensure that the game is more enjoyable for newbie but also open a broad way for high-end players to challenge themselves. Summary of content updates as below:

  • Event Pass system gets reworked:
    • UI is reworked to optimize the flow, remove the complexity of moving between tabs for using the Event Pass system. Now both of missions and rewards information can be found in the same screen.
    • Event Pass is now support multiple Event Pass to run at the same time.
  • Event Pass UI:
    • [1] Selected Event Pass and summary progress.
    • [2] List of active Event Pass, click to change the content of [1], [3] and [4] accordingly.
    • [3] List of rewards per grade of currently selected Event Pass, on the left are Normal Reward and on the right are Premium Rewards.

  • A new Event Pass named “Elixir Pass” is added:
  • Concept: Merging of Easy / Normal / Hard difficulty for DX Dungeons.
  • General Information of DX Dungeons changed after merged:
    • Catacombs Frost (Easy / Normal / Hard) -> Catacombs Frost
    • Lava Hellfire (Easy / Normal / Hard) -> Lava Hellfire

  • Changes of Achievements:
    • Existing achievements for Easy and Normal difficulty are moved to “Memoirs” category.
    • Achievement for “Hard” will be changed into the universal achievement for the merged DX Dungeon, the run counts from Easy and Normal will be merged into the new achievement.

  • Overview: Significantly increase of EXP / Skill EXP / Honor from Scenario Quests / General Quests
  • Scenario Quests:
    • Significantly Increase the EXP reward.
    • Significantly Increase the Skill EXP reward:
      • By completing all Scenario Quests up to Level 100, player can get Skill Rank Transcender.
    • Significantly Increase the Honor reward:
      • By completing all Scenario Quests up to Level 200, player can get Honor Grade 20.
    • Reduced some conditions for quests (refer to the table below).
  • General Quests:
    • Increase EXP reward.
    • Removed some quests
  • Change of Daily Quests from NPC Henkoff (refer to the table below).
  • Mercenary Quests:
    • Change the type from Scenario to General
    • Change the quest condition (refer to the table below).
  • Changes of Rewards for some quests:
  • Required Stats for leveling up the Battle Style Level:
    • Required Stats for leveling up the Battle Style Level requirement is now calculated based on the total stats (which could be obtained from various sources beside the original character stats, such as Pet, Honor Medal, Title…)
    • For example:
      • Old:
        • Character requires 50 INT to perform Battle Style Level Up, character INT stats was 30 (+40).
        • Player must increase another 20 points into INT to make it 50 (+40) in order to perform Battle Style Level Up.
      • New:
        • Character requires 50 INT to perform Battle Style Level Up, character INT stats was 30 (+40).
        • Player can even reduce the INT down to 10 (+40) because in overall, it’s already 50 INT in total.
  • Simplify the Weapon / Armor stats requirement and Character rebalance:
    • Simplify the Weapon / Armor stats requirement:
      • Match the same required stats for wearing different parts of the set of the same grade.
      • Match the same required stats for different types of weapon, for example:
        • Greatsword vs. Daikatana
        • Blade vs. Katana
        • Orb vs. Crystal
    • Adjust character stats
      • Stats are mentioned in the table below, and stats are based on Battle Style Lv. 21
  • Adjust the factor for gaining the Attack / Magic Attack from basic stats for non-force classes:
  • Increase stats for Mastery Skills grown from Skill Transcendence system:
  • Stats adjustment for Target Focus Skills:
  • Merit Mastery is now expanded to Diamond Insignia.
  • When the Merit Mastery – Platinum Insignia is max, player can rank up to Merit Mastery – Diamond Insignia.

  • Merit Diamond Slot Open Costs:
  • Special Mastery:
    • Special Mastery is available for only Main Category.
    • Special Mastery UI is only accessible if the “Special Mastery Expansion” is activated.
    • Cost of granting Special Mastery: Merit Exchange Ticket x3 + WEXP 1,500
    • By performing the granting of Special Mastery option:
      • 03 random options will be granted based on the available options of the Main Category.
      • Passive EXP will be granted based on the option.
      • Passive EXP helps to level up the Diamond Insignia Passive which provide additional stats for character.
  • Special Mastery UI:
    • [1] Current Special Mastery slots
      • Options: We have 03 options here
      • Grades (max is up to #5)
    • [2] Re-grant the Special Mastery options:
      • Current amount of available Merit Medal / Required
      • Current amount of WEXP / Required
      • Button to re-grant, by clicking, all 03 options will be randomly re-granted
    • [3] Each time of granting the options, a certain amount of Passive EXP will be accumulated.
      • Current Level of Diamond Insignia Passive
      • Current progress of Passive EXP / Required
    • [4] List of available Levels of Diamond Insignia Passive
      • Achieved stats will be highlighted
  • Special Mastery available options per Main Category and chance to generate:
  • Merit Diamond Passive:
    • By granting the options for Special Mastery of Diamond Insignia, Passive EXP will be accumulatively stored.
    • Even if the Special Mastery is changed, the gained Passive EXP won’t be decreased.
    • By growing the Passive EXP, player can obtain the Diamond Insignia Passive Level.
  • Reset of Diamond Insignia:
    • Able to reset the stats at the Main Category.
    • Once reset at the Main Category, the Sub Category will also be reset.
    • Fee:
      • Force Gem x110 per Category
      • Force Gem x400 for all Categories
  • Able to save current Point Distribution:
    • [1] By default you have 03 setups. Able to extend up to 02 times using Cash Item, to get total maximum 05 setups.
    • [2] Click on button in #1 to show this screen, here you can click the setup to drop in your quick slot.

  • Some improvements for Merit Mastery UI:
    • Add the background texture for Merit Mastery Icon.
    • When opening a slot of Platinum / Diamond Insignia, a small timer icon will be displayed.
    • Allow to level up maximum as possible for a slot.
  • New item “Elixir of Platinum Insignia” is added.
  • New GPS Warp Points are added in several maps for more convenient while doing quests / leveling.
  • New system “Newbie Support” is added.
    • A system for supporting players under level 200 obtain useful rewards.
    • If player is under level 200, a special icon will appear on the screen, click on it to access the “Newbie Support” UI.
  • Mechanism: Allow player to be rewarded based on their progress:
    • Level: Reward obtained by leveling up, up to Level 200.
    • Skill Rank: Reward obtained by leveling up Skill Rank, up to Transcender.
    • Honor: Reward obtained by leveling up Honor Grade, up to Grade 20.
  • Rewards are under review and subjected to change.
  • Once the character reaches Level 200, a timer will appeared:
    • Timer will be for 07 days.
    • If player do not obtain items from the “Newbie Support” UI, after the timer expires, reward could not be obtained.
  • Newbie Support UI:
    • [1] Quick Access Button
    • [2] Group of Achievements
      • Level
      • Skill Rank
      • Honor
    • [3] Current milestone of the selected achievement group in #2

  • Add new item property: “Cannot be Upgraded”: Any kind of upgrading will not be applied for the item.
    • Type of restricted upgrade:
      • Normal / Extreme / Divine / Chaos
      • Epic Boost / Slot Extender / Converter
    • Target:
      • Weapon / Armor reward items from Newbie Support system
  • Maximum Honor Grade is expanded from 20 to 30.
  • Required Honor Points per Grade:
  • As the Honor Grade limit is expanded, by reporting Merit Medal, characters will get Honor Point:
  • With the same concepts that character will get Title according to Honor Grade. Several titles are added.
  • As the several contents were reorganized, many achievements could not be obtained anymore, those achievements will be moved to new category named “Memoir”.
  • Two new achievement groups are added:
    • Memoir – General
    • Memoir – Shared
  • Open additional character slot: Up to 04 character slots can be opened using “Character Slot Extender”.
    • Old:
      • 06 character slots available by default, 03 extra slots can be opened using “Character Slot Extender”.
      • Total Slots: 09 slots at maximum.
    • New:
      • 06 character slots available by default, 04 extra slots can be opened using “Character Slot Extender”.
      • Total Slots: 10 slots at maximum.
  • Add new achievement & title for Combined Level 2,000 for the account.
  • Dungeon Entry Warp Function:
    • When player right clicks on the Dungeon Entry item, there will be a feature for warping directly to the Dungeon Entrance.
  • Addition of Collections for new players: Registering items from the Newbie Support system to obtain rewards
  • Additions related to Myth Mastery:
    • Add the Holy Power showing in the Myth Mastery option granting result UI.
    • Add the Progress of Stigma level.
  • Delete unique equipment drops from some field monsters due to the introduction of the Newbie Support feature.
  • Some skill-related changes
  • Reduced the price of the “Crushing Drill” item (quest item for activation of Stellar Link system) sold by Hampric Grocer in Port Lux
    • Old Price: 1,000,000 Alz
      • New Price: 100,000 Alz
  • Extraction Potion changes:
    • Extract Potion (STR): After reached BSLv. 21, can be used to reduce STR down to 1.
    • Extract Potion (INT): After reached BSLv. 21, can be used to reduce INT down to 1.
    • Extract Potion (DEX): After reached BSLv. 21, can be used to reduce DEX down to 1.
    • Stat Reset Potion: After reached BSLv. 21, on used, all stats will be reduced to 1.
  • Change related to Force Code of drops:
    • The drop rate for 1-slot and 2-slot items are relatively low, so actually even if player uses items with 1-slot Drop Rate and 2-slot Drop Rate option, the actual result won’t be observable.
    • Changes are applied to make the measurable result in drop rate:
      • “1-slot Drop Rate Up” will be changed into “Drop Rate Up”
        • Features:
          • Chance to drop of a specific items.
          • Can be observed easily in Eternal Chaos Arena / Glacies Inferna.
        • Drop Rate Up Force Code Value, doubled for 2H:
          • Epic Value: 1% – 6%
          • Slot Value: 1% – 4%
          • Extended Slot Value: 2% – 5%
      • “2-slot Drop Rate Up” will be changed into “Additional Drop Rate Up”
        • Features:
          • Chance to drop additional unique items from boxes and bosses.
          • Up to 03 additional items could be dropped based on effects from Party, Dungeon Boost.
        • Drop Rate Up Force Code Value, doubled for 2H:
          • Epic Value: 1% – 7%
          • Slot Value: 2% – 8%
          • Extended Slot Value: 3% – 12%
      • Changes for the “Additional Drop Rate Up”:
        • Old:
          • At the time of opening the Box or killing the Boss, if there is no “additional” drop generated, the rate will be carry-forwarded to the next Box / Boss.
          • Additional Drop Rate Up is applicable only at Legacy Box / Legendary Box / Boss with Unique Drop. Not applicable for Treasure Box / Relic Box.
        • New:
          • Applicable for all Boxes (Treasure / Relic / Legacy / Legendary) and Bosses with Unique Drop.
          • Rate will not carry-forward if the additional drop was not generated.
          • Base Priority:
            • Treasure Box: 8.0%
            • Relic Box: 7.0%
            • Legacy Box: 7.0%

  • Change of Force Essence Request:
  • Add a warning message in case the Merit Medal can be ranked up to higher Insignia.
  • Changes of condition to unlock “Collection” system:
    • Unlock condition changes:
      • Old: Complete the quest “Eite’s Great Goal” (applicable for character at Level 100+)
      • New:
        • Complete the quest “Appointment of Special Trainee” (applicable for character at Level 10+)
    • Other changes:
      • Delete quest “Eite’s Great Goal”
        • Delete “Luxury Travel Bag” and recipe at Chloe
      • Change of reward for “Appointment of Special Trainee” quest reward:
        • Old: Skill Book (Regeneration)
        • New: Shadowsteel / Citrine Weapon +1
      • Change of Level 10 Rank Up quest reward:
        • Old: HP Potion (Lv. 2)
        • New: Skill Book (Regeneration)
  • Improved the Merit Medal Report UI:
    • Old: List of Honor obtaining from reporting Merit Medal is showing from Rank 10 to Rank 29.
    • New: List of Honor obtaining from reporting Merit Medal is showing decending from Rank 29 to Rank 10.
  • Changes related to extract of Lycanus and Drei-Frame: Change in the amount of obtaining Luminous Fragment for Lycanus & Drei-Frame.
  • Increase the “Invincibility” protection for character after resurrection.
    • Changes:
      • Old: 04 seconds
      • New: 06 seconds
    • Notes: No changes related to the earning scores percentage.
  • Change the limit of entering “Hazardous Valley”,:
    • Old: 10 times
    • New: 30 times
  • Changed the terrain of a specific area in Bloody Ice
    • [1] Location on GPS
    • [2] Actual terrain after changed
  • “Wing Protect” skill tooltip is changed to reflect the feature of the skill “Wing Protect” more clearly.
  • Remove the “Beginner Guild”, characters in the Beginner Guild(s) will be turned into without guild.
  • Fixed bug that debuff that causes character to move slowly, effects were not applied properly in case character is walking backward.
  • Fixed bug that related to the Achievement of the Memoir category were not displayed in the ranking system.
  • Fixed bug that some items from the Newbie Support feature could not be equipped and game was showing error that items were expired.
  • Fixed bug related to rewards of Newbie Support system that some rewards were abnormal.
  • Fixed bug related to Event Pass that leads to abnormal rewards were compensated.
  • Fixed bug that Astral Gun is not displayed when Force Gunner is equipping the items provided from Newbie Support.
  • Fixed bug that cause the inventory order got changed between each connection in certain situations.
  • Fixed bug that caused the client would be closed while changing channel if character is equipping the “Black Knight Dragon” vehicle costume with a bike +16 or higher.
  • Fixed bug that caused the font in Cabal Launcher displayed abnormally if user activates the scaling option of Windows 10 (or higher).
  • Fixed bug that cause achievements related to Minesta’s Unbinding Stone were not counted in case the unbinding progress was failed.
  • Changes of text for some achievements:
    • Target: Achievements related to Unbinding Stones.
    • Changes:
      • Old Text: Successful use Unbinding Stone.
      • New Text: Use Unbinding Stone.
  • Fixed the bug of item size in inventory:
    • Target item: Armor pieces and Epaulets
    • Changes:
      • Resize all target items
      • Synchronise the size between item types and current character gender
  • Fixed bug that the open status of “Equipment UI” and the trigger button in the “Inventory UI” might not match in certain situations.
  • Fixed bug that option “Open Inventory UI & Equipment UI” together might be abnormally saved in certain situations.
  • Fixed bug related to “Newbie Support” system that item could not be received.
  • Fixed bug that client gets disconnection when clicking on the Honor Point tab of the “Newbie Support” system.
  • Fixed bug that some event information won’t be displayed when player connects to War Channel or Mission War channel.
  • Fixed bug that game might get disconnected while loading.
  • Fixed bug that button for accessing Chance Info. doesn’t work for Pandora Box UI.
  • Fixed bug some title got removed due to lack of maintaining the title criteria in certain situations.
