Nations Are Gone. Balanced Factions Are Here.

One of the biggest changes in this update is the complete overhaul of Mission War.

Instead of fighting under predefined nations, players will now be assigned to one of two factions when entering the battlefield. The system will distribute players based on combat power to create more balanced teams. This means:

  • Former allies can become opponents.
  • Long-time rivals may end up fighting on the same side.
  • Every battle starts with a fresh team composition.
  • Match outcomes will depend more on strategy and player performance rather than population imbalance.

The goal is to create a fairer battlefield where player skill matters more than faction dominance.

New Comeback Mechanic in Ingens Proelium

Even when a battle seems lost, there may still be a way back. A new object called the Altar of Awakening will appear in the center of the battlefield. Destroying it grants powerful effects that can help the losing faction mount a comeback.

This should make battles more competitive and keep both sides engaged until the very end.

Battlefield Structure Improvements

The battlefield itself is also being redesigned.

  • Central Sanctuary: A direct combat zone where players fight for control through active participation.
  • Lower Sanctuary: A new weapon refinement area where players can contribute and gain benefits based on their activity.

It will be also designed in the way that players with lower combat power will have more opportunities to contribute meaningfully and earn rewards.

Participation-Based Rewards

Rewards are being adjusted as well. Victory rewards will now be granted only to players who actively participate in the battle. In short:

  • Active players receive rewards.
  • Contribution becomes more important.
  • AFK participation should become less effective.

Personal thought:

This is the most exciting part of the update for me. Dynamic factions and combat power balancing could make Mission War feel much fairer and less predictable. The new comeback mechanic is also a nice addition that should keep battles competitive until the very end.

A brand-new enhancement system called Ultimate Engraving is being introduced for Ultimate-grade equipment. Using special engraving items, players will be able to add up to three random additional options to:

  • Weapons
  • Armor
  • Bikes
  • Other eligible equipment

Requirements:

  • Ultimate-grade items
  • At Normal Upgrade +15 or higher

Alongside this feature, enhancement growth values above +15 will also receive balance adjustments to improve progression between equipment tiers and encourage players to upgrade into higher-grade gear. This could become one of the most impactful progression systems introduced in recent updates.

Personal thought:

A new endgame progression system is always welcome. The ability to add extra options to +15 gear could create another layer of optimization, but everything will depend on the rarity of the materials and the strength of the new options. And well it is for Ultimate item only? Hmm…

The Summer Update also introduces a completely new system called Force Refinery. Players will be able to collect Force energy from various items and use it in several ways:

  • Craft useful items
  • Obtain character buffs
  • Enhance character growth
  • Convert collected resources into valuable rewards

The system appears to provide additional long-term progression options and may become an important part of daily gameplay. More details are expected closer to release.

Personal thought:

This is currently the biggest mystery of the update. It looks like a new way to recycle resources into useful items, buffs, and character progression. I’ll need more details before deciding how impactful it will be.

Checking your combat power will become much easier. Players will now be able to display their preferred combat power type directly on the main interface. Available options include:

  • PvE Combat Power
  • PvP Combat Power
  • Combined Combat Power

This allows players to instantly see the most relevant combat statistics without opening additional menus. The displayed value can be customized through the settings menu.

Different options of showing Combat Power

Personal thought:

A simple but useful quality-of-life improvement. Being able to display PvE or PvP Combat Power directly on the main screen should make it easier to track your character’s performance without opening extra menus. The PvE / PvP stuff was there and suffering thousand times of merge and unmerge, no clue if this will solve the issue permanently or not?!

Guild Mission Festival is receiving a much-needed quality-of-life update. Previously, missions were managed by guild leaders or managers and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. After the update:

  • Missions will be assigned individually to each guild member.
  • Every member receives equal participation opportunities.
  • Guild management workload will be reduced.
  • Competition for mission claims will be removed.

The mission list itself may also be adjusted to support the new system.

Personal thought:

A great change for guilds. Individual mission assignments should make participation fairer and reduce the workload for guild leaders and managers. But will they also fix the issue that let missions keep changing continuously?

Puzzle enthusiasts have something new to look forward to.

Grade 8 Puzzles are being added to Monolith Enigma.

According to the announcement, the new puzzle tier will provide:

  • Stronger options
  • New placement possibilities
  • Additional build customization opportunities

Players seeking the strongest possible setups will have a new optimization challenge ahead.

Personal thought:

Puzzle fans finally have a new goal to chase. The new Grade 8 Puzzles should bring stronger combinations and fresh build possibilities for players looking to maximize their characters. However, this update is not yet available anywhere else than the Cabal KR itself, no idea if players are welcoming the Monolith Enigma system at all or not?

The Mission War overhaul is clearly the headline feature of this Summer Update, with balanced faction matchmaking, comeback mechanics, and participation-based rewards potentially changing large-scale PvP significantly.

At the same time, Transcendent Engraving and Force Refinery introduce new progression paths that could have a major impact on character growth.

More details and gameplay footage will likely be revealed as the update approaches, so stay tuned for additional information.
