I’ve received a lot of questions about the Brand-new quest for Mergaheph Ring in the Saints’ Requiem update. So I’ve decided to make a full guide for this quest 🙂

1. What’s this quest for?

  • Player who hasn’t got the Mergaheph Ring yet
  • Player who wants the ring but doesn’t want to waste time for hunting “Sealed Mergaheph’s Ring”
  • Player who wants to know the exact number of dungeons which he/she needs to do to get the ring
  • Player who is ready to pay Alz for the ring (as well as the fee for entries)

2. How to do?

  • Talk with NPC “Core Alchemist – Keller” in Bloody Ice.

Taking the Quest

  • You will get the DAILY quest “Another Way to Break The Seal”.

Quest Window

  • Now go to EoD B1F.
  • Kill the Mergaheph.
  • It will drop you the “Sealed Core with Mysterious Power” at 100% chance.

Sealed Core with Mysterious Power

  • You can collect up to 5 per day
  • If you get 5 of Cores, you can talk to NPC Keller, she will allow you to save them.
  • Repeat this daily quest in 10 days (or even longer – for ex: you can collect 2 cores in 1st day then the next day you collect 3 cores).
  • Remember than you can take / return the quest only ONCE per day.
  • When you have 50 cores.
  • Buy the Formula Card “Combination for Sealed Core (No. 1)” (99,000,000 Alz) (Formula Card system has been removed in Arcane Trace Update)

Formula Card : Combination for Sealed Core (No. 1)

  • Craft the “Sealed Mergaheph’s Ring”
  • Instead of buying Formula Card in NPC Keller, you need to go to NPC Chloe in Port Lux

  • Talk with her, select “Request Craft”
  • Search in the Recipe list, under 0~999 section, you will find the Seal Mergaheph’s Ring

  • You need to register it, it costs 99,000,000 Alz (or 5x Chloe’s Token) and then go request to craft it 🙂 You will get the “Sealed Mergaheph’s Ring”
  • Return to NPC Keller, give her the “Sealed Mergaheph’s Ring” she will give you the REAL Mergaheph’s Ring
    • Because Keller gives you only the SEALED ring and the REAL ring can be obtained only once that’s why you can’t get 2 REAL rings.
  • Done!

3. Notice!

  • If you have the ring already, the new quest is still accessible (you can take it) but there is no use because you cannot own two Mergaheph Rings.
  • The Formula Card is one-time-use, it will be vanished after crafting progress
  • You can take and do both quests (old/new) at the same time. So if you get the ring for the old quest first, you won’t have to pay Alz for the Formula Card “Combination for Sealed Core (No. 1)” of new quest.
  • I repeat strongly this again : Because Keller gives you only the SEALED ring and the REAL ring can be obtained only once that’s why you can’t get 2 REAL rings.

  6. this quest is too stupid!!!its just wasting a lot of money for this stupid quest!!!collecting 50 cores for the said quest is quite difficult.when will the players will get the 99,000,0000 alz just to buy the formula card.i hate this quest!!!!!!

    1. u can choose :
      + go 50 dungs in 10days (5/day) and pay 99kk for the FC
      + wait and hope for luck that u can get the Sealed ring as old quest

  7. Is it 100% chance that the Sealed Ring can be craft when using the Formula Card “Combination for Sealed Core (No. 1)”..??? ask lng.. baka ma sayang kasi ang 99m..-_-

      1. sir panu po if my merga na tapos na benta sa npc at as in wala ung another way pwede parin ba makakuha ng real merga ring?kc na npc na ung unang merga ring? please reply.wala na kc ako merga nabenta sa npc ng di sadya tapos na log out at ayun wala na merga..

  10. How about you already have mergaheps ring drop only but not crafted? can i craft the mergaheps ring still? because the recipe is still available.

    1. the recipe will give you the SEALED ring as the result. so you can still craft THE SEALED ring. but… the QUEST for exchanging THE SEALED to the REAL ring can be done ONCE. so you can’t own 2 rings at once.

  12. how about if the first own merga ring gone [totally gone] i mean i already have a merga ring and accidentally sell it to npc and reconnnect .. is there a possible to have a merga ring again from another way to break the seal?

  13. I hv own the ring by doing the old quest, but i hv also obtained around 25 cores b4 i get the ring drop…should i leave it half undone?

  17. is there any possibility that if you craft an items for merga ring can be fail?..
    FC today in cabal is replaced by chloe’s token x5 same cost 100m sold at item shop no more FC…and where can i get the craft item “remains of the dead” for killians ring?

    How can I repeat my quest. in merga ring. if I done it at once but my merga ring lost.. how can I have a new.. merga ring.. even I don’t have a quest for the merga ring.. the sealed core and ring of evil spirit.
    Can the quest repeated?

    I don’t have any quest for the merga ring now..

I know this is old, i have a 154 Wi, just traded 5 pc Merga core to the Sealed core, so naturally i went to farm some more~ after 6-7 more runs, not 1 merga core was dropped~ i know it’s like a 90% drop rate when you had the quest~ is there a bug somewhere about this quest? also i was experiencing a glitch in the dungeon. it happened to me 3x in a row. THe quest in which you would need to click the burner to kill 20 ghouls, the quest was activated but no ghouls appeared. Even when i reconnected a few times, nothing happened, resulting in a waste of entry item. >___<
